For the past ten days I have had the opportunity to serve with Team Ahava. We have went to a local school to dig holes and paint murals. We have been able to help around our base by digging and begin building a cement fence so the place we are staying is more secure. More recently we went to an organization that will be opening in November as a half way home. A local pastor had this dream of having men come and learn about the Lord as well as finding jobs and getting this second chance in society. A member of the church gave the building to Pastor Luis. It had been abandoned for 25 years so there was alot of work to do. We painted walls, scrubbed the bathroom and bleached the tile. There have been a ton of different ministry opportunities in Belmopan Belize and it is amazing to be apart of them but also know that when we leave, the Lord has so many people helping advance the kingdom in this country.

As I began this journey as a squad leader I prayed about what I wanted my blogs to look like. My ministry is my squad and I cannot share everything about them because it is not my story to tell. What the Lord did lay on my heart though is through discipling they would teach me things. They would show me Jesus in new ways. So first let me introduce you to Team Ahava.

Kyndal- She is the team leader for this fun, loving bunch. She seeks out those around her and loves them so well. A fruit of the spirit I saw so strongly in her this past week was her gentleness. As she led her team she led in a gentle yet assertive way. She cares deeply about others feelings and makes sure that everyone feels included.

Aundraya – She takes care of all the finances for this team. She carries this kind of peace that not everyone has but everyone needs. When she speaks she is speaking truth that is full of wisdom. In my opinion she is a straight shooter and hilarious. She has high influence and when she talks people stop to listen.

Mallory- This girl is our Beauty for Ashes coordinator for P-Squad. She loves all things Disney and can usually be found dancing, singing or creating real funny puns. A fruit of the spirit she portrays everyday is her joy. She lights up a room and always brings the party. Mal is quick to listen and willing to love you in the ways you need loved. Such as running and deep talks.

Jasmine- She is a funny one. Always seeking to understand through clarifying questions and goes with the flow most of the time. She is full of patience when plans change or people have a different way of doing things. If there are people she will most likely be around them.

Brittany- She is self controlled and disciplined in so many ways. She filters what she says and thinks hard about how it will affect others. Brit continues to open up and show her emotions which is beautiful. She has a powerful story that will empower other women and bring them to know the Lord.

Becca- She is the story teller for this team. A fruit of the spirit that she easily lives in is her kindness. She encourages others and is honest in a way that shows she loves you. She loves going deep about politics and relating it to biblical truths. She brings high energy into the atmosphere that motivates you to keep going.

As I did life with this team for ten days, I saw their intentionality for one another by taking time to sit and listen. I saw their heart to serve others and the eagerness in ministry everyday. They loved me so well and showed Jesus to me through their encouragement in daily conversations.

I am 2,000 dollars away from being fully funded. I would love for you to pray and consider donating so I can go to Romania in May and Rwanda in August to visit my squad.

  1. Awh Britt! I loved reading about one of the teams you’re with this month! Seems like everything is going great! Keep loving and leading them well my friend 🙂 miss you!!

  2. I love how you captured and described each young lady. I’ve wondered about the various personalities and this will help me pray more specifically for each one!
