“I saw a guy in a red shirt” I shared with the team before we left for evangelizing. We like to pray and ask the Lord what He has for us before leaving to share the gospel. Then we share with one another so we can look out for it.
We drove 20 minutes to a little town and then started walking. We crossed the street and the translator asked
“Where do you want to go”
My team looks at each other confused because we imagined he had an area for us to explore.
Then I see the guy in the red shirt.
My team points him out and we tell our translator I need to talk to him.
I explained who I was and that when I prayed this morning the Lord gave me a vision of him.
He smiled a little. Said he had a relationship with the Lord but was unsure if he would go to heaven if he died today.
He said he had people waiting for him and he needed to go and then he would come back to talk.
I was not only skeptical that he’d actually come back but also thought the people waiting on him could hear about Jesus too.
So we followed him and ended up at this beautiful private beach.
I explain who I am again. The gentlemen introduced themselves and they start listening.
The translator says that they know who Jesus is but have not accepted Him as Lord and Savior.
Heather and I explained who the Lord was to us and what a relationship with Him could look like.
8 men accepted the Lord Monday morning and it was beautiful.
The Lord gave me a random vision of a guy in a red shirt. I was obedient in talking and following him to his location. We gained eight brothers.
Haiti has been wonderful. It’s about 90 degrees everyday and we are not able to leave our compound unless we have a full time missionary or local with us. We have been evangelizing, doing manual labor and kids club throughout our time here.
We have 2 1/2 weeks left here until we leave for the DR.
Prayer Requests: The people here in Haiti who are just trying to survive.
My team and I who are struggling to find alone time and feel cooped up with 15 girls in this small space.
My upcoming future and that God will provide and continue to guide me.
I love that God still speaks in that still small voice!! We just need to learn to listen better! I am so thankful you listened!! How many people have missed hearing the gospel because we tuned His voice out! Keep going strong!!
